Dubai City Tour to know what Dubai has to offer

Date published: Aug - 05 - 2019

We took a trip to Dubai this past weekend. If you want to see more of Dubai in 3 days and have limited time, remember this. A Dubai City tour shows what Dubai has to offer, all of it. I invite you to the second holiday of my Dubai weekend. I took 2 days off for this

Dubai Creek

We explore the streets of Old Bur Dubai and Deira by foot. A morning walk through the Bastakia Quarter provides an atmosphere of how old Dubai can be, a reflection of what life was like in Dubai before the discovery of oil. Although the buildings have been renovated and new, I loved to walk along its narrow and quiet passageways and squares, which distracted from Dubai's artificial and peaceful focus. After wandering around Dubai Creek, we came across the fabrics and souvenirs of Bur Dubai Souk near the Abra Docks. Dubai Creek has a very nice atmosphere due to its old buildings, old 'harbor', shops, creeks, and beautiful boats.

Burj Khalifa

I saw the Burj Khalifa in front of me. The Burj Khalifa achieved its first night in Dubai as I am very happy with the main objective of this trip. At night we stroll around the Dubai Fountain, enjoying the magnificent views of the Burj Khalifa. I was able to watch the last show of the water fountains, the spectacular Dubai Fountain. However, I was very disappointed because it was very short and only lasted about 3 minutes. We had a late dinner on the open terrace of TGF facing the famous Dubai Fountain with the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa… a great way to spend our first night in Dubai. To add to our excitement, Dubai has the annual Dubai Shopping Festival, where most shopping complexes have huge discounts. We were surprised that the Dubai Mall shopping area was open until very late. When we got back to the hotel at 2 am, the whole complex was still full of people.

Burj al Arab from the Madinat Jumeirah

We went to Palm Jumeirah, the world-renowned man-made island in the shape of a palm tree. We spend the day in the Hotel Atlantis area, located at the end of the Palm Jumeirah area overlooking the vast sea. In the morning, we wander through the Lost Chamber of Atlantis, a large aquarium that gives a sense of the lost world underwater. We had a great lunch at the Aqua Project, the best waterpark I have ever seen. There is a wide variety of super fun, super-fast thrill rides, and speed slide through the aquarium. The good thing is, the whole park is very user-friendly to use, even the locker room. However, the entrance ticket is too expensive, but it is totally worth it .. I would recommend this place to anyone. One of the best theme parks I have ever seen. And thanks to the Entertainment Coupon I bought at Dubai Mall the other day, we are actually only paying half the price…

After a great day in Atlantis, we took a taxi to the nearby Zuk Madinat Jumeirah. It is a very nice place with lots of small souvenir shops around a beautiful setting. Sellers are a bit annoyed at Bur Dubai or Deira in old souks… However, here, happy to have a souk experience without having to constantly bother the over-zealous stall owners! At night at the Door Terrace, we take some good photos of the Burj Al Arab. We really enjoyed our time here. Afterward, we took a taxi to the nearest Emirates Mall, the first indoor school slope school known for Dubai. Since we had previously tried Ski Dubai on our first trip, we decided not to play indoors and hang out in the mall area late into the night.

It's so close with the trip to Dubai would not be complete without going on a desert safari. Let's wait
